Here in Singapore, botak ang mors are usually a sign of food. Botak Jones is one such icon, the other is Max Brenner.
I am sure many of you would have been to Max Brenner before. It's a great place to hang out and enjoy some really cood chocolate desserts and drinks.
Free flow ice-water is served here.
Many customers are attracted by all these mountains of cocoa powder and also chocolates on the table. I wonder if these chocolates are used in their cooking, or only meant for display?
A warm Swiss Milk (S$6.90) for the recent rainy afternoons and evenings. Max Brenner struck a good balance between the frothy milk and creamy chocolate.
Granita Dark (S$9.90) - This is certainly not your ordinary iced milo drink. Granita means crushed or coarse ice. Warm dark chocolate mixture is mixed with the coarse ice, creating a cooling and refreshing chocolate drink.
Even though the ice is crushed and coarse, the drink is actually very smooth and not overly sweet. Would recommend this over their signature Suckao.
Fudge Cake (S$12.00) - Moist chocolatey cake. Not as creamy as those from Awfully Chocolate, but here you can really taste the dark chocolate and cocoa used. Strictly for chocolate lovers and not for "Milo" lovers.
Truffle (S$12.00) - Didn't really like this truffle here. Find the yogurt condiment weird, but okay when mixed with the truffle.
The truffle is a bit bitter, so dark chocolate lovers would love their version of this giant truffle.
