Vanilla Bar & Cafe @ Boon Tat Street

Mention the word vanilla and what comes to mind is creamy white vanilla ice-cream, and also the calming sweet smell of vanilla seeds.

Right in the centre of the CBD along Boon Tat Street next to the famous Thien Hock Kheng temple, a very small and tiny cafe by the name of Vanilla Cafe has existed for almost half a year.

We came here slightly before 2pm on a busy weekday afternoon, just when the lunch time crowd is about to return to their offices. Found a seat quickly and decided to order some simple and healthy food for lunch.

Their soup of the day Homemade soup and not from can or ome powder.

Slow cooked pulled pork sandwich (S$9.90). Not very good. BBQ sauce was those Kraft BBQ sauce. Pork was okay, but prefer the pulled pork at Jerry's better.

Nespresso coffee served here, and the service staff were very friendly and polite.

A nice place for lunch or just to chill out in the afternoon or evening.

  1. This place is really good for breakfast. Never had dinner here, but saw a deal for a 3 course meal on voucherwow. Looks pretty decent. http://www.voucherwow.com/cities/singapore/deals/three-course-pre-fixe-menu-at-vanilla-bar-cafe/
