District 10 Bistro @ Winstedt Road

We had a difficult way finding District 10 Bistro. And even more difficult time finding the restaurant after parking the car. But still, after walking up and down, we managed to find this hidden restaurant at the back lane of a former school building.



We reached District 10 at around 8pm on a Sunday evening, and was quite surprised at how packed the whole place is. Families, friends and couples are chatting happily and enjoying their dinner here. A very relaxed atmosphere, but not too rowdy.



Dew Drops (Fruit Juice) - S$12. Complimentary iced water is also served to all diners.



Wagyu Beef Cheek Rendang Pizza (Pizza with chunk of braised beef in rendang sauce) - S$30. It's a unique combination - Using Wagyu grade beef to cook beef rendang, and using the beef rendang as a base for a pizza. And it works really well. Though a bit spicy due to the chilli padi, but the wagyu beef was a "melt-in-the-mouth" experience, together with the crisp pizza crust. Truly one of the signature here at District 10.



On the other hand, the Beer Battered Fish and Chips with garden mint mushy peas and tartare sauce - S$24, paled in comparison. The fries was not as crisp as I had hoped, and the batter on the fish was too thick.



Everything was served at once, and our French Onion Soup with Gruyere Croutons - S$10, is one hearty portion which I recommend sharing between 2 diners.



Ended our dinner with the Traditional Creme Brulee with Bourbon vanilla and rum - S$12. We enjoyed the dessert.
