Hidding in a corner of M Hotel along Anson Road is Hokkaido Sushi Restaurant on the 9th floor.
Most of the ingredients here are specially imported from Hokkaido, so you get to enjoy the cold crisp taste of Hokkaido.
Typical Japanese starters of fresh crisp vegetables with miso sauce, and a soy bean appetizer.
Crispy deep fried fish slices.
Japanese style braised pork - so juicy and tender. Unlike the Chinese Lor Bak, the Japanese tend to like theirs sweeter, and also a bit colder.
Miso clam soup - I believe the clams were specially flown in from Hokkaido.
This is boiled white radish. Such simplicity, such sweetness.
Grilled Ginko nuts.
Teriyaki set meal - Juicy teriyaki chicken with pan fried Japanese mushrooms.
Tuna chunks which has been pan fried lightly, yet retaining the sweetness of sashimi. Best of both worlds.
