It may seems weird to associate good Japanese food with Tetsu a Japanese deep fried restaurant in Tanglin Mall, and food court operator Food Junction.
But the truth is, Tetsu is actually operated by Food Junction holdings.
And the surprising part is, Tetsu has excellent service, serves authentic Japanese deep fried food and diners can enjoy all these in a beautiful restaurant overlooking Tanglin Road.
This is the Prawn Tempura set. Served beautifully with Japanese dining wares.
For big eaters, please note that the white rice is roughly only half filled. Portion is quite small. So do order more if you are not a small eater.
This is another deep fried set. The deep fried stuffs are first skewered with sticks and deep fried with imported bread crumbs. It was served with a trio of dips, and out of the 3 my fav is the Japanese curry salt. The curry salt helps to bring out the taste of the deep fried items.
There were crab claws, prawns and other fried seafood items. They were generall fresh and crispy. However, I wished the portion was bigger.
Dessert is green tea (matcha) mochi. Love the dessert as it is refreshingly cooling after a deep fried meal.
